i wish we’d gotten to see hermione infiltrating the ravenclaw common room at least once?? we all know she’d do it i just want details… she strikes me as the ‘riddles are too juvenile i want a REAL challenge’ type so how elaborate is the scheme? would she be willing to use luna and/or cho to her advantage? would she be disappointed to finally get in & see that half of the ravenclaws are strewn across the floor playing with a life-sized magical model of outer space instead of actually working? does she get caught

if you’re gonna shit on ginny because she was a mary sue / “overrated” at least acknowledge that we saw her from the perspective of an incredibly biased person (aka the inventor of denial), of course she’s not actually perfect but there’s a reason she goes from ~ron’s little sister that i do like but isn’t rly relevant to my life i’m sorry also i’m actively ignoring her crush on me so it’s a tiny bit awkward~ to !!! good god what an angel?? like ginny’s beautiful?? and plays quidditch!!! and she’s popular and so funny holy fuck ron would KILL me but.. worth it tbh is this.. … what some people call love??? and that reason is called harry potter who spent a good portion of the final books internally combusting whenever ginny did anything what a nerd

If anyone would be proud of Harry’s sass, it’s Lily. Like mother, like son, y’know? Everyone lives AU - Lily’s the one who cheers Harry on and highfives him when he slaughters someone Malfoy, Lily’s the one who massages Harry’s back before he gets on the train to Hogwarts and whispers pro tips in his ear, Lily’s the one who ignores Sirius’ loud laughter and calls Harry tiger - “go for the jugular, NO MERCY” - James is in the background falling in love all over again

luna wearing ginny’s quidditch jersey which leads to luna falling in love with ginny’s quidditch jersey because it’s all soft from ginny wearing it so much and it smells like her && the sleeves are too long so she pulls them over her hands and makes sweater paws, ginny is extremely conflicted because she’s kinda fond of that jersey (like, just a smidge) and she wants it back but luna looks so cute in it and keeps coming up to give her hugs and it really is soft and ginny doesn’t know what 2 do

I love that headcanon of Remus making really dry, sarcastic jokes under his breath in Order meetings and then completely throwing Sirius under the bus bc, and I paraphrase, ‘who’s gonna believe an Azkaban escapee over the mild-mannered professor’ and I bet Remus did it in the original Order too and Sirius swore up and down people were losing so much respect for him but it wasn’t his bloody fault and nobody would believe him and it sounded really flimsy when he was choking back laughter and Remus had a perfect poker face on with one eyebrow raised in “confusion” and that was their thing because Remus is a jerk

And it was stupid and annoying as hell for Sirius and mildly inappropriate but it kept spirits high and in the middle of a war that was vital

And then things went downhill, Sirius started getting assigned to more and more dangerous missions, Remus went undercover with the werewolves, the seeds of doubt were planted and Sirius started to mistrust one of the people he loved most in the world, and as everything fell apart Remus didn’t joke about it anymore, he was too stressed and things were too serious, and he was too angry at Sirius and nothing made sense anymore, and I think it’s safe to say it broke James and Lily’s hearts to see Remus and Sirius go from sitting next to each other, one smiling, one determinedly not smiling, to sitting apart and avoiding each others’ eyes, almost radiating sadness

you can rest easy knowing hedwig was well looked after in the afterlife; it was confusing and terrifying and sad at first but a little while after arriving she felt a light weight on her head and looked up to find her boy, harry potter, staring warmly down at her and smoothing out her feathers, just like he always did

except… he had hazel eyes? and he looked a bit older than hedwig remembered, and who was that red-haired woman with him?

hedwig is confused again. but harry is here, and all is well, so she tucks her head under her wing and falls fast asleep.
