I’ve been getting quite a few asks lately, wondering if I could make a coloring tutorial, as well as a Brooklyn Nine-Nine coloring tutorial. So I thought I’d kill two birds with one stone, and show you how I color most of my gifs, whether it’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine, another show, or even a movie or music videos. Don’t forget to like/reblog if you found this useful!
Under the cut I’m going to show you how to go from this:
To start off, I know photoshop seems all over the place! I remember when I first started using it, I had absolutely no idea what the heck I was doing, so don’t feel bad if thats where you are at too! Also, you will get the hang of it! After using Photoshop for a little bit, things start to come naturally! THIS WILL BE A VERY LENGTHY TUTORIAL. PART ONE WILL BE WRITTEN TIPS, AND THE SECOND PART WILL JUST BE IMAGES GUIDING YOU THROUGH THE PROGRAM.
@stormybisexual asked me about my stars gif that I use to make the above effect, so I just thought I would share it with you. If you don’t know how to create this effect, check out this tutorial (the gif I use isn’t too big so I normally have to duplicate it and put it underneath each other to cover the whole picture).
I’ve been dying to get my hands on the Red Velvet Ice Cream Cake concept pictures, and yesterday I realized the best way to do so was to make a fake roleplay — and then give you guys the promo templates for it! These are four minimalist but graphic, promo templates.
The fonts used are: Helvetica, Arial and Mohave (for #3 — the blue one). You will need knowledge of how to use clipping masks, layer masks, and how to change the color of shape layers (a simple ask will do and I will help). Roleplays with longer titles might need to play around with the text. Feel free to edit things around — consider these guiding blocks, and customize them until they fit your roleplay!
Like/Reblog if you plan on using, and do not hesitate to ask me any questions when editing! I’d love to see what you do with them. Do not claim as your own, and credit me somewhere in your roleplay for it.
Anonymous asked: Hi hope you're doing alright! sorry if this is a silly question but you can only make gifs by downloading the full video right?? Sometimes the videos i want to gif are like 45 mins to an hour long and i only want to gif a small part from the video so it's a hassle to download such large videos
I got a request to explain how to apply a doodle gif texture, and since I couldn’t find a tutorial, I decided to make one myself! I will be explaining (with lots of pictures) how to apply the hearts gif shown in the banner. I used the hearts gif from this doodle pack.
What you will need: photoshop. I use cc 2015. Difficulty level: ★★☆☆☆

Hi friends! All of these textures are ones that I have personally gif’d and then edited from free resource videos. You are welcome to use any and all of them! No credit is necessary, but if you do save one of these, please like and/or reblog this post so that others can see them! Following me is always super appreciated, as I love friends and I will also be posting more graphic resources that you might be interested in!
I recommend applying these in Screen, Lighten, or one of the other “Lighter Color” options in Photoshop. That way, you get the white dots and such without the black background overlayed onto your image like this.
For those who are new to this, here is a tutorial (not mine) on combining gifs with another image!
Please do not delete / cut + repost this caption, these take quite a while to make and edit! I appreciate it, have fun!! Feel free to link me to your creations!
I’m going to teach you how to make this, which is a slightly altered version of a panel from my most recent graphic:
So I started making these graphics a while ago, and although a few people have asked me how I make them, I’ve only ever given really simple instructions so this is going to be a more detailed walk-through on how I make these graphics. Basically, I’m obsessed with them, I’ve made several variations (x, x, x, x) so there isn’t just one way or a correct way to make them.
Since it’s been a while since we last made a masterpost, I figured I’d make one. So below you’ll find a list of all the blogs you’ll ever need for your tumblr or photoshop needs. Bolded ones= favourites.
Hello graphic makers!! You’re probably aware that there is a huge problem on tumblr with whitewashing. Or maybe you’re not. As a predominantly disney-based blogger, the whitewashing I personally see are from the disney fandom, so I’m going to use screencaps from those movies to show you several quick techniques so you’ll see just how easy it is to have your pretty bright and pastel colour palettes and not whitewash characters of colour.
